1- ST092 The KKU Scholarship for ASEAN and GMS Countries’ Personnel of Academic Year 2013Khon Kaen University, as one of the nine national research universities, has always taken an important role to participate in developing personnel and resources of the countries in the Mekong Sub-region, especially the neighboring countries: Laos, Kampuchea, and Vietnam. Presently, Khon Kaen University is extending its role in human resource development of the regional Asian countries to respond to the coming ASEAN Community in 2015. Human resource development is the heart of all aspects of national development. Collaboration among academic institutions of the countries in ASEAN Community is vital and a necessity in response to the role of ASEAN Community in the world society and augmentation of the potentiality of our regional human resources. This is especially true in academic and research work, which Khon Kaen University has continuously encompassed, in its major mission towards the Me Kong Sub-regional human resource development.
